Alfredo Pereida

Alfredo Pereida, age 86, of Palmdale Ca passed away on Saturday (February 4, 2017) at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Elva T. Pereida of Chihuahua, Mexico. Alfredo was born in Sugar City, Colorado on August 29, 1930 and grew up in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was the son of Manuel Pereida and Carmen Gomez de Pereida. Alfredo moved to the United States in his early twenties and was hired to work at a very prestigious club ‘The Jonathan Club’ in Los Angeles, Ca. He worked at the club for twenty five years, working his way up the ladder from dish washer to chef. He left the Jonathan Club where he had countless friends to go to Mexico to start his own business.
Besides his wife, Elva, he leaves his son Alfredo Pereida Jr., wife Jacqueline Pereida, and daughter Rosa Elva Pereida of Palmdale, Ca. Alfredo also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Eddie, Matthew, Christopher, Jonathan, and Tiffany. As well as, his grandson -in-law James, daughters-in-law Sofia and Anita, his greatgrandchildren Bryan, Genesis, Andrew, Michael, and Genevieve.
Alfredo was an amazing person who loved spending time with his great grandchildren. He loved to travel, especially on cruises with the entire family. He enjoyed cooking, eating, sports, camping, fishing, and just spending as much time with family and friends. He always had a positive and cheerful disposition. He was always ready to tell you a good story and a good joke. He enjoyed making people laugh. He will be missed dearly by all that crossed his path.
Alfredo’s viewing will take place at Halley Olsen Murphy Funeral in 44831 N Cedar Ave. Lancaster Ca from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017. A second viewing will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his beloved church “ La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Ultimos Dias. (Iglesia Mormona) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a religious ceremony from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. The church is located at 35248 87th St. East. Littlerock, Ca 93543. There will be a Celebration of Alfredo’s Life taking place at the MAIN EVENT Banquet Hall at 731 W Lancaster Blvd. Lancaster, Ca 93534 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM.
