AMBROSE KPAKA ROGERS

Mr Ambrose Andrew Kpaka Rogers went on to be with His Lord and Saviour on March 9, 2022 in
California He is survived by Judy Lansana Rogers and family including His children, Mohamed Rogers,
Foday Kpaka Rogers, David Rogers and Ambrose Rogers Jr; His grand children Sarah, Ambrose, Thalia,
Iyanna, and Armani Rogers

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Mrs Sally Parker and family, Mrs Adama Jumu and the
honorable Mr Eric Jumu and family, Mr John Borbo Rogers and family in Florida and Mr Paul Idriss and
family in Maryland .

Nephews Mr Emil Rogers and family and Mr Rogee Rogers and family in California, Dr Baimba Rogers in
Sierra Leone.

Other nieces, nephews and grandchildren including Abiebatu Kaikai , Theresa, Umu-Hawa, Mohamed,
Emil Jr, and Alfred Rogers; Bandajuma, Mori -Sheku and Dauda Gbujama in California and a host of other
nieces, nephews and grandchildren in Sierra Leone and Abroad.

The Tucker Families of Sumbuya,the Rogers families of Massam Kpaka, the Minna , Swaray families of
Pujehun. Paramount Chief Foday Musa and the Rogers families of Bo and Freetown. The Kpaka families
of Mandeima, Ambassador Soulay Daramy.

Ambrose Andrew Munda Kpaka Rogers was born in Pujehun to Mr. Foday Kpaka Rogers and Madam
Baindu Tucker on March 9th 1947. He attended the Catholic elementary school in Pujehun and passed
his Selective Entrance to go to UCC in Bo. He Later went to the Technical Institute in Freetown and
became a Mechanical Technician. Ambrose knew how to repair any car. He worked as a production
Manager at Sierra Leone Flour Mill and later worked for the Treasury Department in Sierra Leone
before he left for the US in 1974.

He graduated from San Francisco State University in San Francisco.
He worked at several posts in the US including General Electric in San Jose.
He started his career with the State of California at the Lanterman Developmental Center in Pomona
California as a Food Service Worker and then transferred to The California State Prison in Lancaster
California as Assistant Food Manager in 1993. He retired in 2010 as Correctional Food Manager at the
largest prison in the state of California- the Kern Valley State prison in Delano California.

He was a show man.
He believed in looking good.

He loved his family and friends.

He believed that all his family should be educated.

He will be dearly missed by his family.

We love you but God loves you best.

Interment at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery- 2200 E Ave S ,Palmdale California between 1-2
pm

Repast following at the Palmdale United Methodist Church, Palmdale from 2:30 – 4:30 pm
