ANGELINA LOSBANEZ

Angelina “Angie” Los Banez was a loving and devoted mother, wife, lola (grandmother), sister and aunt. Angelina was born on June 5, 1954 in Makati City, Philippines to Pablo and Iluminada De Guzman. She passed away in the comfort of her home in the early morning of August 12, 2024. She is survived by her husband David Los Banez; children, Danica (Thomas) Murillo of Arizona and David Andrew (Jacqueline) Los Banez of Mississippi; grandchildren, Thomas “Butchie” Murillo and Dana Los Banez; and siblings, Alfredo De Guzman, Rodolfo De Guzman, and Veronica Umali. 

Retired from Los Angeles County High Desert Health System, Angelina poured her heart into her work and also enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. Some of her greatest passions include cooking, traveling, sewing, decorating for holidays and time spent with family and friends. She was also widely known for her tasteful homemade dishes as she loved to spend countless hours in the kitchen. Christmas was a special holiday for her as she truly enjoyed decorating for the season and cooking to bring the Christmas spirit to family and friends. Although she did not get to meet her youngest grandchild, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren through FaceTime and visits when possible.

Though she may not be physically present, her legacy and spirit will always provide guidance and support to her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her father Pablo, mother Iluminada, and brother Danilo.

A viewing and rosary will be held on August 26, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals; 44831 N Cedar Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534. Mass will be held on August 27, 2024 at 10am at Saint Junipero Serra Parish; 42121 60 th St West, Lancaster, CA 93536.
