Anna M. Miller, age 85, passed away on December 12, 2022, in San Antonio, TX surrounded by her four children. She was born on July 28, 1937, in Lancaster, CA, to parents, Maria Moneta and Daniel Massari.
Anna grew up in the Antelope Valley and married the love of her life, Morley, in 1956. They lived in Palmdale raising their four children until Morley’s job took the family to various locations both in and out of the country. Anna was the rare individual who never lost a friend but continued to accumulate them throughout her life. After Morley’s passing, Anna moved back to Palmdale, where she lived and worked at the AV Fair’s ticket office, a job at which she continued to make friends and truly enjoyed! In 2009, Anna moved to San Antonio to be near her two daughters. Once there, she volunteered for a number of years at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. She enjoyed the people she worked with and those she helped.
Anna was renowned for her generosity, loyalty, and sly sense of humor. Nowhere were these qualities more evident than in the time she spent with her family, whom she prioritized above all else. She was an excellent writer and holidays, celebrations, and vacations (and even some of the more humorous job fiascos) were meticulously documented to be enjoyed over and over in her journals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morley L. Miller; parents, Maria and Daniel Massari; and brothers, Rocco Massari and Louis Massari. Anna is survived by her children, Donna Brummet (Brent), David Miller (Sally), Kenneth Miller (Karen) and Carri Elliott; 11 grandchildren, Thomas, Daniel, Samantha, Alyssa, Andria, Michael, Patrick, Jami, Christopher, Donnie, and Anna; and 6 greatgrandchildren.
A service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmdale, CA on December 30th at 12:00 followed by burial at Desert Lawn Cemetery. Please visit Halley Olsen Murphy Funeral Home to send flowers and/or leave a message for the family.
