Brian Reed

Brian passed away at home on March 23rd. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Lynn (Jones) Reed, daughters Brianne Johnson and Nicole Reed Allen, grand-daughter Claire Johnson, and sisters Joy Pauley, Valerie Silva, and Belinda Barbour.

Brian was born on January 3, 1955 in Sidney, Nebraska to Roy Edward and Allyn Dee (Whitmire) Reed.

Brian enjoyed Nebraska football and pheasant hunting with his Dad. Brian’s family moved to Barstow in 1970. He attended John F. Kennedy High School. He met the love of his life, Jackie, at Barstow Music. He played the trombone in the school marching band and was a Senior Counselor for DeMolay.

Brian graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University in 1977 with a BA in Political Science and went on to obtain a law degree from the University of San Diego. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1980.

Brian was a determined advocate for people in need, whether injured or denied benefits.

Brian and Jackie moved to Lancaster in 1981 where they built their lives together. Family meant everything to Brian and he was always a loyal son, husband, father, and grandfather. Claire was the crown jewel in his court. Brian always treated his friends as though they were family.

He lived life to the fullest, creating joy in every day as it came

Services will be held Saturday, April 1st 2017 at 10am at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations located at 44831 North Cedar Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534.
