Carol Sue Testerman
Born November 27th, 1939 in Elk City, OK, passed away February 6th, 2018 in Lancaster, CA. Carol grew up in Southern California graduating from Desert High School in Edwards, CA. She is survived by two children: Kimberly Ford and Scott Testerman as well as three grandchildren: Casey Ford, Cole Ford, and Kira Ford all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her husband James Testerman in February 1998 and mother Viva Haisch in December 1991.
During the early 1960’s, Carol met James Testerman while she worked for NASA on Edwards Air Force Base. They were married March 22nd, 1964. Shortly there after, they moved to England due to James’ new duty assignment.
While in England, Carol gave birth to her daughter Kimberly and after James’ assignment was completed they returned to Lancaster to raise Kim and son Scott was born in November 1969. The family remained in Lancaster until 1979 where they then moved to Las Vegas. In 1986, the family returned to Lancaster where Carol resided until her passing in February.
Carol committed her life to her family and her career. In 1995, Carol retired from the Air Force and a short while later started working for Antelope Valley College until 1999.
She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed movies, travel around the state, interior decorating and working on her computer. Carol was known for her great caring, compassion, and feistiness. All those who came into contact with Carol always said she was “a character” and a loving human being.
Her daughter and grand children reside in Junction City, KS and her son resides in Lancaster, CA.
She now watches over her children along side her husband and mother.
She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be February 16th, 2018 at 1:00 – 2:30 PM at Lancaster United Methodist Church with graveside services following at Joshua Memorial Cemetery.
