On March 31, 1928 a very special man was born in Somerville Tennessee. This man's name was Cash Morrow. Cash was raised in Somerville by his mother Bobby Lou Morrow-Williamson and his grandfather Reed Morrow. He with his siblings Mary Lee Cole, Geneva Robinson, Willie V. Morrow and Fannie Morrow all grew up in a loving and Christian home.
At a very early age, Cash professed his faith to Christ while attending his hometown church of Morrow’s Grove CME Church in Somerville Tennessee. Through his life and travels, he was brought back to Christ, where he made his home at Living Faith Cathedral here in Lancaster.
Cash joined the Army in 1946, where he served for 27 years before his retirement. He then retired from the United States Post Office after working there for 25 years.
A little fun fact about 1928, People who were born in 1928 were known as the “Silent Generation”. As we all know, Cash not only loved to crack jokes and make you laugh, but he also loved to stir the pot a little, all for a laugh. Most of the time it was to teach a lesson, other times it was just to keep you on your toes, but all out of love. Most importantly Cash loved his family and friends.
On December 14, 2020, God opened the gates and his arms, and welcomed Cash home. He leaves behind to cherish and celebrate his memory, his wife of 23 years, Marilyn Morrow. His son Nicardo Morrow from Virginia Beach. His step children Bert, George, Sandra, Kenya and Kamal. Cash has 7 nephews, Walter Ray Morrow, Gregory Morrow, Donald Morrow, Larry Morrow, Curtis Morrow, Willie and Kevin Morrow. Cash also had 2 nieces, Gwendolyn Yon and Nadine Cole. So with that many family members I mention, there are a whole host of cousins, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, grand nieces and grand nephews, and countless friends. Cash will never be forgotten.
