Chad Cook

Chad Cook

Chad loved life, was never afraid to speak his mind and would give you his opinion when asked. Chad was an accomplished chef and earned his degree from the famed Apicius Culinary School in Florence Italy. While living in Italy for three years, Chad was able to tour most of Europe. When returning from Europe, Chad lived in San Francisco practicing his craft. He did not enjoy the lifestyle of working in kitchens and decided to find a more simple lifestyle.

Chad was able to fulfill his life long dream of rescuing dogs from shelters. Chad would spend countless hours finding people to foster or adopt dogs which we ended up with three-Tank, Sasha and Luis.

Chad had many friends and developed close relationships with his co-workers at the Antelope Valley High School District. He was currently working at Antelope Valley High School. His love of family ran deep for his sister Holly Joan Cook, her fiancé Ruben Ortiz, his longtime girlfriend Sofia Lazcano, his grandmother Joan Cox, his Aunt Patti and his many aunts and uncles and cousins and of course his mom and dad.

Chad was a season ticket holder of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the LA Kings which he took many of his friends to go see. Chad was upset that the pandemic took away his opportunity this season to watch the Dodgers win the World Series.

If Chad had one last request from all of us, it would be to help all the animals in shelters by a donation or adoption.

God bless all of you, hold your children close, you never know when it will be your last time.
