Christopher Eddie Martinez
Born January 02, 1929 Ignacio, Colorado. Christopher passed away February 09, 2016 at his home in Rosamond, California; he was surrounded by most of his immediate family after a long fight with heart failure.
He was proud to have served in the Korean War, US Army. During his lifetime he lived in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Arizona, before settling in California in 1956.

Christopher worked in Aerospace until he retired in 1992 from Lockheed in Palmdale California. Lockheed was a company he enjoyed working with for over 25 years. He made many friends and he was saddened each time he found out someone he worked with had passed. He was proud to be part of Skunk Works which he received many awards for the great work he did. Two of his fond memories were working on the SR71 – Blackbird and the L10-11 commercial airliner.

Christopher had a huge heart and cared for anyone who came into his life. He never hesitated when his grandchildren needed an extended place to stay or until they got on their feet.
His hobbies were interesting, he took everyday objects that we all use and made them more useful and easier to use. He loved old country music along with polkas and big band music. He would put on Mariachi music when he wanted to feel like entertaining his youthful heart.
Christopher is survived by his wife Velma: daughters, Mary Martinez, Christina Barker, Teri Johnson (Ross) and Velma Searcy (Greg). Son, Joseph Martinez.
Grandchildren: Kemp, Scott & Sean Heath, Robert, Curt & Rhonda Curtis, Jaime Metter (Shane), Larry & Michael Echavez, David& Christopher Lowenthal, Tiffany Christopherson and Justen Martinez.
He will truly miss his 9 great grandchildren who he felt he didn’t see enough of.

A celebration of his life will be at Halley-Olson-Murphy Funeral Home at 1Pm on Saturday March 05,2016 44831 N. Cedar Avenue, Lancaster, Calif 93534
