David Sammons
David Allen Sammons, 65 passed away November 27, 2016 in Palmdale, California.
David was born in Blythville, Arkansas to Monte and Fern Sammons on October 25, 1951. As a young boy the family moved to Lancaster, Ca. He graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1969 where he lettered in wrestling. He then went off and served in the Military for 4 years.
Davids first marriage to Cathy McCarthy created two children Melissa Anne and Derrick Christopher. They later divorced and David married Dawn Ollig. From that union Rochelle Lynn, Jaclyn Renee, and Kayla Marie were born.
David was the Customer Service Manager for Vons grocery stores throughout the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley for the last 33 years. He retired in 2014.
He enjoyed cooking, music, spending time with family. He really loved telling really really long stories to anyone he could.
David is survived by his children Melissa Libbers of Laclede, Idaho, Derrick (Mary) Sammons of Enterprise, OR, Rochelle Sammons, Mesquite, NV, Jaclyn (Bill) Oden of Palmdale, Ca and Kayla (Jason Milligan) Sammons of Palmdale, CA. Grandchildren LB Libbers, Logan Libbers, Lausen Libbers, McKayla Sammons, Jordan Sammons, Trevor Sammons, and William and Cody Oden. Great grandchildren Chloe Libbers and Milo Dimas. He is also survived by his brother, John Sammons.
