It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Santos, who left us unexpectedly on December 28, 2024, at the age of 27. Born on July 13, 1997, David was a cherished son, brother, and friend, whose bright spirit and boundless enthusiasm touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
David grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, where he was known for his kind heart and his sense of adventure. He was always quick to lend a hand or offer a smile to those in need, and his generous nature made him a beloved presence in his community. David had a deep love for exploring new places, trying new experiences, and making lasting memories with his friends and family.
David Santos graduated from Lancaster High School and later at the University of California, Irvine, David excelled in his studies and found a passion for wellness in others. He was also a therapist for autistic children and was a supervisor of two libraries, Kern County Rosamond Public Library and Kern County Library Tehachapi. He got his bachelor’s degree in Sociology; and he was planning on finishing his master’s degree. Some of his hobbies that he was passion about were gaming, listening to music and going to the gym. His ambition and dedication were evident in everything he did, always striving to better himself and those around him.
David is remembered by his parents, Miguel Iniguez and Martha L Contreras, his siblings and a large circle of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. His loss leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on January 5th, 2025 from 4-6pm, at Halley Olsen Murphy funeral home where family and friends will gather to remember the joy and love he brought into their lives.
David may be gone, but his light will forever shine in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, David, and thank you for the love, laughter, and warmth you gave to this world. You will never be forgotten.
