On April 23, 2023, beloved Donald "Ducky" Halikias was called home. He was a resident of the Antelope Valley for 30 years. He is survived by his 2 children, daughter Nicole Ewerling, and son Donald Halikias II, his lifelong partner Cheryl Russell. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Kathy Halikias of Waterford, New York, Russell Halikias of Cohoes, New York, Elmer Halikias of Arizona, Glenda Seeberger of Arizona, William Halikias of Cohoes, New York, Mary Stevens of Calhoun, Georgia, Deborah Holmstedt from New York, Josephine Campney of Florida, Anne Batchelder of Cohoes, New York. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Halikias, his mother Marian Tanner Booth, his brothers Jackie Halikias, Richie Halikias, Stanley Halikias and Robert Halikias.
Donald was born in Albany, New York on March 8, 1955. He was one of 14 children. He moved to the San Fernando Valley in California in 1979, where he became a professional mover for Bekins. He retired after 30 years. After he retired, he was able to enjoy spending time with his grandchildren and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed having his backyard BBQs, playing pool, listening to music, playing basketball and horseshoes. His love for his family was immense! He was a fun and witty person with the biggest heart anyone could ever have! His legacy and name will live on through his children and grandchildren. He is gone but never forgotten!
