Dwite Matthew Wood

Dwite Matthew Wood, 76, passed away November 20, 2024 in Lancaster CA. Dwite was born September 14, 1948 in Glendale CA, son of Charles M Wood and Katherine L (McDevitt) Wood.

Dwite graduated from Palmdale High School, then California State University Northridge. He married the love of life, Linda. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in August. Dwite was a teacher and coach for over 50 years, touching the lives of thousands of students including Pierce College, LA Unified schools, Acton-Agua Dulce Elementary. In retirement he continued to teach the gift of music to many students at Mario’s Music and Tapp’s Music in Lancaster. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Charlene Wood.

Dwite is survived by his loving wife Linda Wood, sons Robert and Daniel, daughter in-law Melissa, brothers Howard and Paul, and many nieces and nephews.
