Raymond “Eddie” Ramirez passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2024, after a very brief illness.
Born on August 8, 1966, in Lancaster, CA as the first son to Raymond “ Ed” Ramirez (deceased) and Shirley Ann Ramirez. In 1981 his family relocated to Layton, Utah where he graduated from Layton High School in 1985. He moved back briefly to California after his family moved back in 1987. He trained and worked as an electrician for a few years, but his love for Utah brought him back and he resided in Clearfield, Utah for almost 30 years. He worked as a maintenance engineer fixing machines for Lifetime Products for 20 years. A job he loved and exceeded at. In 2021 he moved back to California to help take care of his elderly parents.
Growing up Eddie played Hockey and Baseball starting at a very young age. He played hockey on Travel and State teams in California and Utah. Eddie continued to play hockey as well as softball throughout his adult life. Proudly stating “I hung up my skates and cleats at 45!” Eddie was a huge Boston Bruins, San Francisco 49ers, and USC Trojans fan. ( his father’s alma mater). Eddie was an amazing chef, griller, and baker. He also loved being outside camping and fishing. Eddie was the type of person to help anyone out, especially his nieces and sister. He took amazing care of his parents, putting them first above all. He was also a great friend to many in Utah.
He is preceded in death by his father Ed Ramirez, and younger brother Bobby Ramirez. Survived by his mother Shirley Ann Ramirez, sister Teresa Tondro and nieces Makenna and Madison Tondro. His beloved cat Ciaran, Aunts Sherry, Barbara, and Jenny and cousins. Eddie will be missed by all who knew him especially for his infectious laughter and sarcastic personality. He leaves a big hole in many hearts!
