Edward Ferrett

Edward Joseph Ferrett
December 20th 1923 - September 29th 2017
Beloved husband, father, grandpa and great papa, quietly returned home. Edward was born in Buena Park, Ca to John Steven Ferrett and Edna Louise Haverbeck. He was preceded in death by Wife of 49 years, Lisle Emily Delameter, Son Gregory Steven Ferrett, and Brothers Charles and Frederick Ferrett.
All those who met Ed and knew him were left with a lasting impression and found ED to be a fascinating man imparting his life experiences and knowledge to all. Ed grew up during the depression era when times were hard and life was difficult. He was able to rise above and become a jack of all trades. He was a photographer for the U.S. Army attached to the last Horse-Riding Calvary for WWII. He was a radio announcer for RKO Broadcasting, worked as a camera man for the movie industry, and owned a photography studio where he mingled with the stars, eventually going into business with a partner in a television repair shop.
He met and married his love, Lisle, while they both were employed at Summers Gyroscope building innovative missile parts for the war. Ed and his young family moved to the Antelope Valley in the 1950s where he worked for various aerospace companies. Working on programs such as the XP70 Valkyrie, L-1011, Space Shuttle, Boeing Cruise Missile, and the B1 Bomber where he retired from in 1988.
He is survived by his Sister Mildred (Kenny) Dummer of Hemet, CA, Son Timothy Ferrett, Lancaster, CA, Daughters Sheryl (William) Dunn, Quartz Hill CA and Tami (Brad) Wagner Palmdale, CA, and Nephew Paul (Becky) Delameter of Meyersville, Md. His legacy leaves 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. May Mother Earth hold you until we meet again. We love you Daddy, We Love you Papa and will be forever etched in our Hearts!
