Encarnita “Candy” Gaddi, nee Sanchez, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2018 at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA due to complications from Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She was 71.
Candy was born on February 2, 1947 in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines to her parents, Sergio and Encarnacion Sanchez. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. She married Alejandro “Alex” Gaddi, Jr. in 1976. They settled in the United States where Alex worked in the automotive industry and she as a full time mom to only son Angelo. Later, she started working in the medical billing industry until retiring in 2010. She spent her remaining time cooking, traveling, learning new hobbies, and enjoying life with Alex and Angelo. Candy is survived by her husband, Alex; and her only son, Angelo.
Candy was a devoted Catholic regularly attending Sunday mass, participating in events at her local parish, offered monetary contributions to her local parish and organizations such as St. Jude, and being a child sponsor via the charity Unbound (formerly CFCA).

A memorial for Candy will take place on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 3-7 p.m at Halley-Olsen-Murphy Funerals and Cremations, 44831 N. Cedar Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Encarnita “Candy” Gaddi. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
