“Tina”, age 85, Palmdale, CA. passed away February 6, 2018 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends. Tina was born February 28, 1932 in Oakland, CA. to Ernest and Kathryn (Jordan) Hyatt. She received her nursing degree from San Francisco State University and as of this year she held her nursing credentials for 67 years. She had a love for volunteering, she loved helping anywhere she could. She held volunteer positions for the last 30 plus years at the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station, Shambala Preserve in Acton, the retirees of Antelope Valley Hospital, New to You thrift store and the farm and garden building at the Antelope Valley Fair. Before she retired from Antelope Valley Hospital in 1993 she ran the outpatient surgery unit. She is survived by her two sons Randall Ward (Monica), Andrew Ward, two granddaughters, Jackie Vetter (Chris), Sara Harvey (Logan) and four great grandchildren Jesse, Dylan, Savannah and Scarlet. Service will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2018 from 4pm to 7:30 pm at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations. The Family is having a celebration of life on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at Gino’s Restaurant in Palmdale, California.
