Frances Sokoloff

Frances Anne Sokoloff, 79, passed away on May 22, 2023 in Lancaster California. Fran was born in Toronto Canada to Rose and Sam Sokoloff on June 7, 1943. She spent most of her adult life working successfully as a Shipping Line Manager at D’Amico Line in San Pedro where she was in charge of shipping scheduling and represented the company at association events and gatherings. Fran was loved by all who knew her. She was kind, generous, loving and a truly great person who loved with all her heart. She was a loving daughter and the primary caregiver to her mother for many years. In her retirement in Bakersfield California Fran enjoyed taking cruises with friends and created a rich social life.

Fran was an amazing person who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her kindness and generosity were unmatched. Fran was a philanthropist who donated generously to many charitable foundations throughout her life. She always had a smile on her face that could light up any room. She was a true friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Fran is survived by her brother Harvey (Leatrice), nephews Alan (Michele) and Mitchell (Gwen) and four grandniece’s and nephews, many cousins and lifelong friends.

Fran will be cremated. No formal services are planned at this time.
