Born: Honolulu, Hawaii 10/5/1945
Father: Glen Cornelius
Mother: Thelma Mae Gilmore
Glens father worked in the shipyards in Honolulu when Glen was born October 5, 1945, two months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Shortly thereafter, Glen Sr., his wife Thelma and young Glen moved to the mainland where they lived in Bremerton, Washington briefly. Essentially Glen grew up in the Antelope Valley, Graduating from Antelope Valley High School, then attending Northrup Institute of Technology where he earned his degree in structural engineering.
He spent the majority of his career as an engineer at General Electric, but after brief retirement spent another good many years working with the team at NASA.
He and Kathy met through friends Dave Harvey and Delores Dozier and went to the Lancaster Drive-In on their first date and truly experienced Love at First Sight.
They were married July 25, 1964.
Glen and Kathy had two kids, Glen Allen and Michelle. Glen was actively involved in youth baseball and football. He loved to camp. He road dirt bikes and ultimately got nicknamed "crash" by coworkers because he was always getting banged up.
He loved camping, was an excellent cook, enjoyed good beer and wine and was passionate about golf. If they were going on a trip and there was a golf course within 50 miles he'd play.
He was interested, if not passionate about all of those things; but his passion for them paled in comparison to his role as a husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to their kids Glen Allen and Michelle, Glen and Kathy have been blessed with four grand kids, Janell, Daniell, Cadence, Emmett & Jamie Crampton all living here in the valley. Glen could often be seen at Janell's plays or concerts, Daniell's softball games, Cadence's soccer games or hanging out around the pool with Emmett. He also loved his two Dachshunds Chloe and Hardy and walked them religiously.
Glen passed away peacefully with his family by his side November 10, 2016
