Joseph Lopez

Joseph James Lopez, Sr., 64, died Dec. 27, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones.

Joseph Lopez was born April 21, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Ramon E. and Josephine M. Lopez.
Joseph was friendly and was known for his patriotic spirit and would enjoy spending time at the beach or listening to Tejano music.

Joseph served in the United States Air Force for 25 years plus 13 years federal civil service, as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Manager and First Sergeant to many troops in his squadron. He retired from the Air Force in 1998 at the rank of Master Sergeant after a long career that led him and his family to many special places around the world . Mr. Lopez settled in Rosamond, CA with his wife, Artemia.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Artemia, three step children, Michelle Lovato, Mark Yackee, Bo Oridenia; and his three sons, Joseph Lopez, Jr., (Lisha), Air Force Master Sergeant John Lopez (Jessica) and Christopher Lopez. He has seven grandchildren, Anthony, Austin, Hailey, John Martin, Bethany, Christopher Jr., and Matthew. He is also survived by his siblings; Raymond Lopez (Sadie); Robert Lopez (Sylvia); Anita Saldana (George); Stella Monreal (Tony) and preceded in death by brother John Anthony Lopez and parents.
