Karen Elliott

Loving, wise and beautiful, Karen Mirafuentes Elliott. 73, dies January 5, 2018 at her home after a five-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born on September 23, 1944, in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, as the oldest child of Loreano Mirafuentes and Barcelisa Mirafuentes (Dellatan), Karen spent her early years in Hawaii and Japan.

Karen married her high school sweetheart, Bill (Col. USAF, Ret.), on September 11, 1965, and they spent the next 52 years working and living all over the U.S., Europe and the Far East. Their wonderful life together was shared with their daughter, Liana and son Brian. Liana and her husband, Thomas Berghoff (Col. USAF, Ret.), have four beautiful children, Taylor, Michael, Brenna and Matthew, who were the absolute joy of Karen's later years.

Karen's life was filled with her love for friends and family, and she brought joy to everyone she met. To have been a part of her life is an enduring pleasure for all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Saint Junipero Serra Parish in Lancaster, California.
