Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Melton Obituary

Sadly, on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Melton, loving wife and mother of 3 children, passed away at age 76 at her home in Palmdale, CA.

Kathy was born on November 23rd, 1946 in Minnesota. On September 19th, 1963, she married the love of her life, Bob Bee Melton. They raised two sons, Bob Bee Melton II, Michael David Melton and one daughter, Mistie Maye Melton.

Kathy loved her family and her animals very much. She had a passion for antiques and going to estate sales. She was also known for her service to the community through the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce and LASD Sheriff's Booster Club. Kathy loved to entertain and continued to fundraise for worthy causes near to her heart towards the end of her life. Her infectious laugh and smile that lit up a room, kind and giving heart and compassionate spirit were undeniable. Everyone was always welcomed at her home; her friends quickly became family. She was well loved by everyone that knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Bob Bee Melton of 49 years. She is survived by her loving children, Bob Bee Melton II (Christy). Michael Melton (Maureen) and Mistie Maye Melton, her 9 grandchildren, Blake, Ashley, Michael, Brian, Brandon, Brooke, Caitlin, Jacob and Joshua, 7 great grandchildren, one sister, Betty Borden and several cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will tremendously miss her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at the Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations, 44831 Cedar Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534 at 11 o’clock a.m. To honor Kathy's life, there will be a Celebration of Life at Kathy's home directly after the service.
