Kathryn Smith

Kay Smith, a long time resident of Lancaster, California, was born December 29, 1922 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and entered into Heaven on May 13, 2017 in Sylmar, California. She is now with her beloved husband, Floyd Smith.

She leaves behind four daughters: Charlotte Morgan of Oklahoma, Faye (Gary) Johnston of Palmdale, California, Linda Smith of Lancaster, California. Sharon Johnson of Lancaster, California; two sisters: Ruth Campbell of Crescent, Iowa, and Beverly Armstrong of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Kay was an active member of both the Moose and Elks Lodges of Lancaster, California and attended the Vineyard Church. Her love for life and laughter will be missed by many. Special thanks to the staff of San Fernando Post-Acute Hospital for their extraordinary love and care of Kay in her final years.
