Kirk Charles Smith, Born June 11, 1959 in Lancaster, California passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 in his home. He was 62 years old and lived life to the fullest.
He was proud to be apart of the Brotherhood of the International Union of Operating Engineers, the (LOCAL 12) for over 30 years. He had a strong work ethic that he shared with his co workers that entailed, ‘ to pick up that shovel if the guy next to ya isn’t working… The jobs got to get done, just figure out how to do it and move’.
Kirk loved adventures and traveled throughout his lifetime. He lived in Kauai, Wyoming, Ensenada, Panama, and visited many places along the way. Kirk was a free spirit and never knew a stranger.
He was loved by all but especially family. Number one fan of his children Stevie Lee and Jacob. His parents that he would go to the end of the world for Brit and MaryLou Smith. His siblings that knew the best parts of him Scott, Wendy, and Heather. All the cousins that would laugh at his comical sense of humor, Heidi, Makenzie, Brit, Chelsea, Emillie, Jordan, Cassidy, and Karlee Rose. And best of all his beautiful four-year-old grandson Parker, who will always remember him as grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his mother MaryLou Smith, his brother Scott C. Smith and nephew Brit Smith (Britty). Survived by his father Brit O Smith MD, children, siblings, nieces, nephew and grandson.
He worked hard, he loved hard, and kept us all laughing with his incredible sense of humor. Love and miss you so much Kirk… Kirky…Itchy…Son…Brother…Cousin…Uncle…Daddy and Grandfather
