Leona Sue Higgins, most affectionately known as "Babydoll" was born November, 13, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas to Leola Sue Higgins, and Fred Higgins. Babydoll moved to Los Angeles, California with her mother, and father as a young child where she went on to attend Wadsworth Ave. Elementary School, and later graduated from Jefferson High School in 1963. After graduating she went on to work as a aircraft mechanic for Hughes Aircraft Company where she remained for 15 years. Beauty wasn't the only thing astounding about Babydoll. She was unique, and strong willed with a fiery spirit. She remained true to herself until the day she went home to be with the Lord. Babydoll was the mother of 6 children; Carl Cook (who proceeded her in death), Ronald Wheeler, Tesa Sheaffers, Michelle Wheeler, Charles Wheeler, Brenda Jones, and a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren to whom who she was affectionately known as"Cream of Wheat Granny". Babydoll will be greatly missed as there will never be another like her.
