Mabel Louise Hewitt. Born in Tuscon, Arizona on September 26, 1918 to Carl and Ada Arntzen. left us to join her husband of 68 years, Walter Charles Hewitt, in glory on October 10, 2015 in Lancaster, California.
Mable moved to Pasadena, California when she was 2 years old. It was there at only 12 years of age in 1930, she met her future husband, Walter at a teen dance party. Mabel and Walter danced on together for 76 years (married 68 years) until he went on to Heaven before her in 2006. Mabel is survived by her 4 children, Shirley Delaini, Sharron Corbin, Suzette Hibbert and Walter Hewitt; as well as 7 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and was a resident of the AV for 62 years. Described by her children and grandchildren as a true saint and the living embodiment of God's grace, Mabel's indomitable faith and unshakable devotion to her family has created a legacy of love that will carry on for countless generations. The tremendous sorrow suffered in her absence is only exceeded by the abundant joy and solemn comfort found in the knowledge that she is back in the arms of her love.
