Marvin Leroy Snodgrass was born on October 5,1942 in Boulder Colorado and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 30,2022 at the age of 79 in Lancaster, California.

Marvin and his family moved from Colorado to Nebraska and eventually migrated to California when Marvin was in High School. Marvin attended Excelsior High School in Norwalk, California. Upon graduation Marvin enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War. During his time in the army Marvin worked as a helicopter mechanic. After his time in Vietnam, Marvin worked for McDonald Douglas as an aircraft mechanic and eventually became a truck driver. He would spend the remainder of his working life as a truck driver until he retired in 2004. Marvin was an incredibly devoted husband, father, and Lutheran.

Marvin was also a car enthusiast; he loved everything Porsche. He could be described as a true hobbyist. When he found something he was interested in, he went “all in.” His passions included flying stunt kites, cars, but he found his greatest hobby in wood working. He spent the later part of his life creating beautiful pieces of art out of wood, which his family will always cherish.

However, Marvin's greatest love of all was his family. He met his first wife Sherry and they had two children together: Jennifer, and Lance. They would later adopt their daughter Cori. Marvin lost his son Lance in 1995 and his wife Sherry in 2002.

Marvin was blessed to meet and marry Judy Denger Young in 2006. Marvin was blessed not only with the love of Judy, but also with the love of her 3 kids, Juli, Allen and Lori.
