MICHELLE SCHUPAY

Bishop Michelle Annette Schupay, O.M.S, known as Revmo Shelley or Shelley to friends and family, entered the arms of our Creator on June 22, 2020 at 11:24 P.M. She is survived by her wife, Reverend Mother Mary Charmaine Nestor, O.M.S., her brother Michael Steven Schupay, and his wife Darlene Ann Schupay, her nephew Branden Eric Schupay, several extended family members, her Archbishop, Terry C. Springstead, O.M.S., and countless friends. Shelley was one of the kindest people I have ever known. The world won’t be the same without her. Shelley never met a stranger. She opened her arms and her heart to all in need. Her charming smile, bubbly personality and sparkling green eyes lit up a room when she entered. She was an amazing angel among us who’s laugh would make you crack a smile when you weren’t in the best of moods, a trustworthy confidant to many when they needed some insight. She was the fiercest of champions to stand up for her loved ones. Shelley and I were blessed to have a wonderful marriage. In sixteen years together, we never argued. I miss her so much, and I am forever grateful for sixteen precious, beautiful years of peace, joy, laughter, love, and fulfillment, with the most loving, giving person I have ever known. We on earth love our God but find it hard to understand why he needs the ones he takes home as he leaves us behind. We were blessed to have Shelley in our lives. She will always be loved and greatly missed by all. Don’t be afraid of death. While we are here we are with family and friends, but when we pass we realize the fullness of the Most High. I absolutely believe that God and Shelley are both with us all, guiding and comforting us. A light may have dimmed in this world, but a light as bright as the sun has risen in the next.
