Minnie Cleo Pense
(March 17,1927 - October 4, 2018)
With her family near, Minnie “Cleo” Pense, age 91, of Rosamond, California, went to be with the LORD on October 4, 2018.
Cleo was born March 17, 1927 in Cave Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of William Raymond Philpott and Tena Olive Downum.
Cleo worked for the U.S Navy during WWII and was a nurse at Antelope Valley Hospital for 10 years. Cleo was a master gardener
and enjoyed oil painting, sewing, and spending time with her husband. Cleo also designed and built 2 homes with her husband.
After 32 years in Antelope Valley, Cleo and Don moved to Sequim, Washington where they lived for 20 years. Ten years ago
she returned to Rosamond to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Cleo is survived by her twin sister, Martha Leo Arnett of Amarillo, Texas and daughter, Tena (George) Lizotte of Rosamond, California.
She has 4 grandchildren : Richard Lizotte of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Quinn (Shakia), Reese (Tenicia), and Bree (Chase) of
Rosamond and nine great grandchildren.
Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, Don (2005), her daughter, Teresa (1973), her son, Donnie (1953) and her brother,
Dane (2007).
Cleo will be laid to rest next to her husband Don.
