Nancy Lee Lyons (Erbes)- left our world on June 23, 2018 from her hometown of Lancaster, CA where she was born September 12, 1951. Nancy passed suddenly and unexpectedly at her home. Nancy and her loving husband Richard just missed getting to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Her son Michael (Emily) and daughter Mary Ann have endeavored their very best to make their momma proud and are eternally grateful to her for all she did to shape their lives. Nana’s grandchildren Shelby (Nathan), Saleen (Bryce), Stormy, Jacob and Sydney brought a happiness to Nancy’s life that she returned to theirs. Jayden added the “great” to the grandson role and re-invigorated Nana’s responsibilities. Preceded from this life by her Father Rusty and mother Mary Erbes, Nancy is survived by her brother Tommy (Joycelyn), sister Shirley Gehring (Kim) and sister Judy Brenneman. Nancy loved spending time and keeping in touch with her many nieces and nephews.
Nancy made the first of her lifelong friends at Eastside Elementary School, later graduating with honors from Antelope Valley High School.
Nancy dedicated her life to the service of family, friends and the community. Nancy worked diligently at all she volunteered to do. Brownie leader, Church Primary President, Church Relief Society President, Seminary Teacher, Election Worker, Sunday School Teacher, Young Women’s Leader, Boy Scout Committees among many others.
Nancy was an amazing friend and companion to many. Her fingerprints are on all our souls, and evidence of her generosity in many of our homes. Her compassion, kindness, love, and empathy will continue in our hearts and on this earth as we serve others as she has done.
