Born June 22, 1932 Died October 24,2019
Parents were Domenico & Sarah Savarino, born in Oklahoma City, Ok. then moved with family to California brothers were Phillip, Henry with 3 sisters Florence, Floda, an Florine all have past. Paul was married had 2 sons then was divorced past both sons to be raised by grandparents & family. Domenico is married has 2 kids & 2 granddaughters whom he loved very much. David also married has wife & child will be joining him soon.
Paul had grade school education, when war came in the 50’s he joined at age 17 went to Korea was injured during the had severe case of frost bite to right foot lost part of it. His idea was don’t complain about life instead find what you can do, an do it too your best. Worked many jobs main one was the post office he did so well he retired there. Was disabled, unable too work still made sure too keep close contact with kids. He enjoyed life used many tools to get through life from a cane to walker, last a scooter did not stop him from doing what he liked. Went to museums, both car & plane & war museums, he enjoyed going out to the mall an looking at life. Family’s with kids getting out, enjoying family time.
Things I learned from him is life is short, no guarantees about tomorrow, so grab today and do everything you can. Remember don’t worry about what you can’t do an do the very best at what you can. Family is always important stay in touch even if it is only by the phone.
His last thoughts were simple if I go too sleep an don’t wake up, I will go too heaven an be with Grandma & Grandpa and my brothers an sisters. I will remember this forever.
Love forever your sons & family
