Phyllis Arlene Lawrence, passed away Friday the 30th of December at Antelope Valley Hospital surrounded by friends and family.
A native of California, Phyllis grew up in La Puente, Ca before moving to the Antelope Valley. Phyllis, a lover of animals and nature, loved to travel, camp, and treasured visiting our Nation’s National Forests and National Parks. Over her lifetime, Phyllis catalogued many adventures. An avid concert goer even in her seventies, Phyllis adored music; R&B and good old fashioned rock-n-roll.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lawrence and mother, Lola Lawrence. Phyllis did not have biological children but spent her life lovingly surrounded by her surrogate, extended families; O’Malley’s, Falasco’s, Urwiller’s, Stidham’s, King, Castillo’s, Clarks, Corrale’s, Galliher and Kilmartin’s. Phyllis was generous, kind, unassuming and was loved and adored by so many people who generation after generation lovingly called her ‘Auntie.’ She was a friend and confidant to many.
