Raul Garcia Perez

January 25, 1969 — December 10, 2024

Lancaster, CA

Raul was born in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and children. His life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of embracing every moment.

Raul’s life was shaped by profound love and responsibility. In March 1987, he experienced the heartbreaking loss of his mother, a moment that deeply impacted him. After the loss of his mother at a young age, Raul took on the role of ensuring his grandparents and siblings were cared for during a difficult time. This loss fueled his ambition and drive to create a better future for himself and those he loved. Later that same year, in December, he immigrated to the United States, pursuing a better future for himself and those he loved.

By 1998, he had achieved one of his proudest accomplishments: founding his own plumbing business. Through hard work and determination, he not only provided for his family but also created opportunities for others, mentoring many along the way.

A man of many passions, Raul loved tackling projects big and small. From restoring classic cars to completing home improvement projects, he was always creating and building. His love for antiques grew after watching Antiques Roadshow, inspiring him to collect vintage cards, posters, comic books, and other treasures. His impressive collection was a reflection of his eye for value and his joy in finding the perfect piece that meant something to him.

When he wasn’t collecting, Raul could be found cheering on his favorite sports teams, whether watching basketball, soccer, or boxing from his living room, at a relative’s house, friend’s house, or attending these events in person with loved ones by his side. He also had a knack for finding tickets to concerts, always turning those moments into unforgettable memories.

Raul was an extroverted social butterfly who thrived on his connections with others, especially his best friends, with whom he never turned down an opportunity to gather with them. He balanced family life and his social life. He had a gift for making people feel at ease and was often the life of the party. With family and friends, he was a jokester, always ready with an inside joke or playful comment to lighten the mood. He reassured those around him with his unshakable positivity, always making us feel like everything would be okay, no matter the challenges we faced.

He loved traveling to different parts of Mexico with his wife and taking his family on vacations, creating memories they will cherish forever. He made his first trip to Europe in 2022. He had plans to travel to different parts of Europe and South America. Raul cherished the connections and memories he created with the various people he met on those trips.

At home, Raul’s heart extended to his pets. Though he initially resisted having dogs inside the house, he couldn’t help but let them in, eventually considering them part of the family. His warmth and kindness truly knew no bounds, extending not only to his loved ones but to anyone in need, even strangers.

Raul’s love for his family was boundless. His bond with his sons was filled with laughter and countless inside jokes, a reflection of the special connection they shared. Raul was a man of extraordinary determination. Whether in business, family life, or personal projects, he never gave up. His strength and resilience inspired everyone around him, and his legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and he will be forever be missed.
