On the morning of November 5th, 2021 Ricardo H. Romero, the man- the myth- the legend, left this world to be with his heavenly father. He is survived by his amazing wife of 35 years, Carmen Romero, his two children, Sarai Jamaica-Resendez and Abraham Romero, and his grandchildren, Meridion, Aria, Ryker, and Zathryn.
Born to Juan and Sarah Romero on June 19, 1960 he was the oldest son of 5 children. He leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Martha Firth, Gilbert Romero, Patricia Arndt, and Robert Romero.
Ricardo had an extraordinary life filled with experiences that many could only dream of. Shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Airforce as a pilot. During his service to his country, he demonstrated professionalism and devotion in many ways, paving the way for others until his discharge on April 15th, 1985. His love for flying aircrafts never diminished after leaving the service as he continued to work for FEDEX as an aircraft mechanic from October 1996 – October 2021, serving 25 years.
His love of adventure extended to his hobbies of model planes, Star Trek, collecting military artwork, and all things Disney. His family can attest to the many trips to airshows and Disneyland where he shared his passions to anyone near him. He was always the first one up and the last one to want to go home.
He was unceasingly faithful, volunteering to help feed the hungry in his community. He provided spiritual guidance through church sermons and participated as much as he could to lead others through example to God.
Ricardo was a great many things, but his favorite title and job was as a grandfather. He loved his family with a ferocity that without a doubt they just had to call, and he would be there. His grandchildren adored him and there was no better place other than next to Grandpa.
Although his loss has impacted his family and friends deeply the legacy, he has left behind still shines brightly.
