Richard Alan Meadows, 74, of Lancaster, CA passed away on November 5th. Pa, as he
was affectionately known by his grandchildren, was born April 21st, 1949, in Oakland,
California to the late Richard Austin Meadows and the late Marie Verlie Hurtubise.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha, two sons Patrick and Benjamin, two
daughters-in-law Sara and Lorie, four grandchildren: Cheyanne 26, Sydney 23, Aiden
17, and Avery 9. A sister Cathy (Ward), and two brothers Frank (Shirley) and Tim (Anne)
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. While in the
Marine Corps he served during the Vietnam War where he received the Vietnam
Service and Campaign Medals.
Richard found his love for golf after the family bought him a set of clubs for his 50th
birthday and golfed up until about the last year of his life. He would make almost daily
trips to Sam’s Club as another favorite hobby. He was a lifelong 49ers fan and enjoyed
watching games on Sundays with son Ben and his grandson Aiden.
