Richard Schoengarth

Richard Bruce Schoengarth (1946–2023)

Lifelong bowler, humorist, karaoke singer, and conversation starter with everyone he met, Richard Bruce Schoengarth, 77, of Lancaster, California, died on November 7, 2023. He was born in Los Angeles in 1946 to Bruce and Barbara Schoengarth.

Richard, also known as Dick, attended Saint Robert Bellarmine Elementary and Bellarmine Jefferson High School before joining the United States Army during the Vietnam War, later working as a salesman and owning a flooring business. He is survived by his wife, sons, granddaughters, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His memory, and especially his stories and jokes, will live on in the hearts of all those who loved and knew him.

A memorial service at Bakersfield National Cemetery will be scheduled at a future date.
