ROCIO TAFOLLA

My momma

Rocio Tafolla, an amazing mother, wife, and grandma suddenly passed away on December 26, 2021 at 7:40pm. Although having many hard obstacles in life, she overcame so much and lived her life the best way she can. With love.

She was born to her parents Catalina and Octaviano on August 1, 1962 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. She graduated from ———— in ———. She worked for a brief time but throughout her lifetime she devoted her life to her husband and children.

Rocio married Pedro Tafolla on October 3, 1981. Married for 40 years and counting, they were and continue to be the best example of what a marriage should be. Together they built a family. They had five children together. In order, they had: Francisco, Maria, Maribel, Pedro, and Montserrat. They settled down in the San Fernando Valley, living in different cities such as North Hills and Sun Valley. In 2008, they set to reside in the Antelope Valley where she resided in Lancaster for the rest of her time on earth.

Rocio was the best and amazing grandmother to 14 grandchildren. From oldest to youngest included: Andrea, Francisco, Alejandra, Fernando, Andrew, Edgar, Katherine, Peter, Wendy, James, Julian, Hiram, Liam, and Mickey. She also had fur grandpets: Simba, Sparrow, Midnight, Max and Lester. She cared for them, showed them everything and anything she can, was the most wonderful grandmother to them. She became a great grandmother in early 2021 as well to one special little boy, Max.

Rocio was someone who showed interest in many things. She was a kid at heart and loved little knick knacks such as miniature furniture, characters, and loved collecting mini brands. She was Disney’s number one fan. Her favorite princess was Cinderella. She was to instill her Disney loving legacy to all her children and grandchildren. She loved collecting loungeflys, popcorn buckets, and plush characters. She loved to go to Disneyland to people watch, eat, shop, and to just be at Disneyland. It was her favorite thing to do. She also had a quarter collection that she had since 2001. She loved to always have music playing in the home. Both in Spanish and English, her music taste expanded from left to right. Rocio loved to read, watch all types of movies, loved history, random history and movie facts. She loved sudoku, word puzzles and word games, and games where she can build her own islands with her own achievements. She was a foodie. She loved to eat and go to buffets, sushi spots, you name it. Her favorite fast foods were Tommy’s, the McRib from McDonald’s, and Jack In The Box Sourdough Jacks. Her favorite sit down spot was Chili’s, Souplantation, and Taco Tuesdays at El Torito to name a few. She loved her snacks. Twinkies, Cheetos, and her coffee or soda. For every holiday, Rocio had a tradition where she packed goodie bags for all her children and grandchildren and gave them out to them. Never missing any holiday. A tradition that will forever be carried on. Rocio left a legacy that will forever be cherished and engraved in her family’s heart and souls.

She was funny, loving, quirky, selfless, compassionate, and astonishing woman to anyone she met. She cared for many and many cared for her. Her love was felt in everything she did and every time she spoke. She was the light of the family and definitely the heart and soul. She loved to tease and joke around with everyone. Rocio left us too soon and suddenly. She will be so desperately missed. Forever in our hearts and in our memories she will live on. Gone but definitely never forgotten. Until we meet again momma. We love you always and forever.
