Rodney Gene Koehler
Born July 21, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa. Passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 in Lancaster, CA. Rod is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Flora Vannessa (Marsh) Koehler. His children: Vannessa Beazel Caringella (Tom), James Koehler (Sue), Florence Bistline (Joe), Karl Koehler, Nancy Regalado, and Alice White (Richard). He has 12 grandchildren: Joseph Beazel (Jessica), Shiloh Beazel, Kimberly Christner, Hilary Schulz (Tyler), Heather Bistline, Alison Bistline, Sharee Bistline, Thomas Koehler, Colin Koehler, Stephen Olsen, Michelle Olsen, Amanda Regalado, Nicole White, Eric White. 6 great grandchildren. Niece: Teresa Obst (Rudy). Cousins: Ernie Mills-Campbell and Koehler McNeal. He is preceded in death by: His mother - Verna Elizabeth, Son – John Koehler, Grandson – Jonathan Beazel.
After graduating high school, Rod attended vocational schooling for Auto Body Repair and Painting. His reputation as a quality auto body repairman was known all over the valley and he worked in this field for more than 30 years.
Rod made the community of Antelope Acers his home in 1964. He met and married Vannessa in 1968. He brought his new wife to the house he had prepared and together, they created a home. Rod had an instant family, as Vannessa was a single mother with four children. He loved each of them as if they were his own. In 1970 Karl was born and added to the joy.
He was loved and adored by each of his children.
