Ronald George Morris was born 11-19-54 in Pasadena, Ca. His joyous parents were Carl Richard Morris and Margery Hedley Morris. Ron grew up in Lancaster, Ca. As a child he especially enjoyed going fishing with his parents on their trips to Mammoth. He also enjoyed watching the Dodgers with his Dad, a tradition he kept all of his father's life.
He attended Antelope Valley High School and graduated in June 1972. In December 1972 Ron enlisted in the Navy training as a Basic Laboratory Tech. He was stationed in Portsmouth, VA. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After release from active duty Ron returned to California to attend California State University Northridge to obtain a degree in Medical Technology. He worked in a Clinical Laboratory in the Microbiology Department until he retired, enjoying that speciality very much.
During that time he met his wife to be Paula who also worked in the Clinical Laboratory. They enjoyed almost 27 years of marriage until Ron after a brief illness passed away at his home in Lancaster on 5-17-23.
Ron had a kind heart and a generous spirit-- frequently shopping for treats and toys for his friends and coworkers animals whether it was a dog, cat, parrot, fish, or cockatoo. Many a care package was mailed to arrive in time for a holiday!
He enjoyed helping animals and he and his wife frequented rescue centers, zoos, and aquariums. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, California, or any other charity that assists in the welfare of animals.
