Rosendo Briseno

We will forever miss Rosendo Martinez Briseno, born November 10, 1963 in Mexicali, MX, who went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2018 at the age of 54. Ross attended Antelope Valley High School and graduated in 1981.

“Ross” is survived by his wife, best friend and the love of his life for 19 years, Melody Ann Briseno, son Corey, nephew Timothy Grisham (Susan), parents Henry and Lupe Briseno, siblings Ed Briseno (Liz), Nancy Briseno-Rivera (Ernesto), Lorena Green (William) and nephews and nieces William, Roxanna, Briana, Eddie, Estevan, Neto and Lupita.

Ross loved life to the fullest! He always had a beautiful smile on his face and had such a big spirit. He enjoyed fishing and watching Texas Longhorns games with his wife and friends. He loved to hang out, entertain and cook for friends and family. Ross and Melody loved traveling to Cabo San Lucas, Palm Springs, the beach, and spending beautiful and memorable times together. He was a good father, son, brother and uncle who made us laugh and would help in any way he could. He always said “Don’t stop believing”.

Ross started his own glass company in 1991 and served the entire Antelope Valley. One of his passions was to cook and grill for various charities including, The Painted Turtle, which helps children with serious medical conditions, The Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Boosters who support local law enforcement, and Desert Haven, dedicated to helping persons with developmental disabilities. Most recently Desert Haven honored Ross with an award of generosity for all of his services. Ross truly loved the Antelope Valley and did what he could to support the local community that he considered home.

Ross is preceded in death by Grandparents Rosendo and Maria Villasenor Briseno, Estevan and Maria Diaz Martinez, Sisters Maria Auxiliadora and Maria Concepcion, Father in-law and Mother in-law Hugh and Glennda Grisham, and Brothers-in-law Tim, Randy and Paul Grisham.

Services to celebrate Ross’s life will be held on August 2, 2018 at Grace Chapel 44648 15th St. West, Lancaster CA 93534 at 11 am. Graveside service will follow at Lancaster Cemetary on 111 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, CA 93535.

The family has asked for those attending to honor Ross’ love for sports and wear your favorite team apparel if you so desire. His favorite teams were Texas Longhorns and Houston Texans. Ross was very vocal about the teams he disliked, USC and Oklahoma Sooners. Also western attire would be appropriate.
