We called her Tita Rosita, barely 5 feet but with a towering presence and intelligence much taller than most. Rosita C. Victoria was independent, pragmatic, and decisive. She last resided at 9709 Irene Avenue, California City, CA and spent most of her life in California City. Rosita celebrated her 100th birthday last May 17, 2019, before she passed peacefully at a retirement home in Orange County on February 20, 2020.
With a kind soul and generous heart to leave a lasting legacy, Rosita founded the Rosita C. Victoria Foundation in California City to make a difference and a positive impact to her community and the less fortunate.
Rosita had 10 siblings, but she is only survived by two, her youngest brother, Daniel C. Victoria Jr. and her youngest sister Olivia Victoria Franco, who both live in the Philippines. Her other siblings include the late Dominador Victoria†, Aurora V Carrillo†, Mario Victoria†, Armando Victoria†, Salud V Roldan†, Carmen V Belmonte†, and Alfredo Victoria†.
She had many nieces and nephews who visited her every now and then in California City, specifically Dennis, Aida, Patricia, Tessie, Marilyn, Dave, Peter, and Joann who also helped arrange her funeral services with the guidance of Lloyd Copenbarger who is the Executor of her Estate.
On behalf of Tita Rosita, we thank all her friends who made her life colorful by caring for her and helping her live a privileged and productive life.
We pray and hope that through the Rosita C. Victoria Foundation, she will leave an even more lasting legacy of helping many people. Those who are less fortunate and well deserving can be immensely impacted by the support and assistance of her foundation.
Special thanks to her friend Ron Sparks who kindly coordinated the viewing on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM and Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1:00PM - 5:00PM at the Community Church located at 21001 Conklin Blvd, California City, California 93505.
