Salvatore “Rick” Montebello went home to heaven on February 20, 2018, at the age of 59.
Rick was born in Queens, NY. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for 10 years, before moving to Lancaster, California in 2005.
In 1997, he married Celeste and they enjoyed 21 years together.
They had two beautiful children together: Andrew, 16, and Matthew, 14. He was a very devoted, loving, and protective, husband and father.
Rick loved to cook and loved to play several musical instruments (flute, guitars, piano, and bagpipe.) He tremendously enjoyed going to the beach to boogie board or body surf. He also, equally enjoyed going skiing and hiking.
Rick always had an inquiring mind. He always sought new information that he felt would improve his health and quality-of-life, as well as for those around him and never hesitated to share his knowledge with others (whether wanted or not.) :)
He loved to speak about the great joy and peace he experienced since he had accepted Christ as his Saviour. Patience was not one of his virtues. Perhaps this, along with his great anticipation for heaven, is why God called him home so soon.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Celeste, and two sons, Andrew and Matthew. He is also survived by two brothers, Chris, of Las Vegas, NV, along with nephew, Alex; and his brother, Bob and sister in law, Karen, niece, Krista all of Long Island, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rick’s honor to the:
