Stanley McClung

Born October 23, 1939 in Happy, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2018. Lynn was the youngest of three children born to E.H. and Pearl McClung. He grew up in Oklahoma, graduating from Retrop High School then earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Lynn was a coach and wood shop teacher in Kansas and Oklahoma before moving to California. He coached baseball at Rubidoux High School in Riverside, then moved to the Antelope Valley in 1971. He taught at Palmdale High School and coached golf, basketball, baseball, football and tennis, retiring in 2002. A long time referee and official, he then became a rules official for golf events at all levels, including BCAA, SCGA and LPGA. He also enjoyed traveling, boating, camping, and fishing with family and friends. He is survived by children Vicky ( Michael) Vogel, Sandy Rodriguez, Stan (Michelle) McClung; grandchildren Jordan, Natalie, Steven, Garett, Brooke, Cloe, Corey; sister Eueline Sharp. Funeral will be held at 3 PM, Saturday April 14 at Lancaster United Methodist Church. Burial will be April 21 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Wise County Texas.
