Syble Josephine Winn

Syble Josephine Winn (Jo, Josie) was born December 18th, 1927, in San Ysidro, California. Died January 22, 2024.

She worked in Civil Service from 1948 to 1951. In 1951, while working at USNAS in San Diego, CA. she decided to join the Air Force "To see the World". During her time serving in the Air Force (Korean War) she received several medals, National Defense Service Medal / Occupation Medal (Germany) / Good Conduct Medal. While serving in Germany she met "The Love of Her Life" (Russell) and they were married on April 15th, 1954. She separated from the Air Force on July 3rd, 1954, to embark on starting a family with Russell.

Jo (as she liked to be called) always had a smile on her face and never had a bad word to say. She had a zest for life, she always wanted to be on the go. She loved being surrounded by her Family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Russell O. Winn, Jr.

She is survived by her Children Dorothy McCoy, Russell O. Winn I l l (Heather), Henry Winn (Jennifer), Six grandchildren, and Nine great-grandchildren. She is gone but, will never be forgotten.

Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, on February 26th, 2024, at 2:15 p.m.
