Teresa Isabel Crawford

The Farmers Daughter Born Nov. 20, 1934 only child of William “Bill” and Isabel “Bell” Serres Arroyo Grande, CA.  Passed on to Eternal Life with her God and Creator, Lord and Savior April 6, 2024 Lancaster, CA  Age 89.

Valedictorian Mission San Luis Obispo High School 1952.

Married the boss’s son when she became the wife of Curtis “Curt” Crawford July 24, 1954, St. Patrick’s, Arroyo Grande, CA.  Mother to Bill, Tom and Tina, Grandmother to Andy, Chris, Candice, Nicole, Garrett and step grandmother to Beth, Christie, Jessica, Brian and Jarrod.  Great grandmother to Izzy, Alex, Addie, Ash, Emily, Eva, Zach, Allie, Charlotte, Sofia, Leah, Riley, Dane.

Predeceased by her husband Curt March 19, 2018 Quartz Hill, CA after 63 years of marriage, and parents Bill (1981)and Bell (1992) Arroyo Grande, CA.

In addition to being the best wife and mother ever, Terry’s interests also included travel, camping, tending her rose gardens and flowers, sewing – she made her own wedding dress and many of her own clothes for herself and children, sewing costumes for children and grandchildren, infamous for sewing matching Hawaiian shirts, selling AVON products and was a Cub Scout Den Mother.  Terry was the major support behind her husband Curt’s successes as the Calif state rep for Catholic Financial Life Insurance, Antelope Valley Branch secretary and as a court appointed estate executor, Knights of Columbus – past Grand Knight having formed two councils, President Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce and Almond Blossom Festival.  Curt and Terry were early founder/supporters of St. Junipero Serra Church beginning in 1969 when they led the first fund drive to build the church and on patrons board of Paraclete High School.  Terry cared for her mother Isabel the last 11 years of her life, then cared for her husband Curt following his debilitating stroke the final 3 years of his life.
