Obituary of Thomas M.E. Mindock

Thomas M.E. Mindock was born on April 9, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ. His parents were Michael A. and Mary (Butchko) Mendock. His siblings were Mary (Firth), Michael Jr. (Mindock), and Francis (Mendock). Tom was the youngest son.
He graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School, Phillipsburg, NJ in 1942.
He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1946.
He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1947.
He briefly left the Air Force in 1949 and re-enlisted to serve in the Korean War.
He was Honorably Discharged in 1954.
Tom entered Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, IN.
He graduated with a B. S. in Chemical Engineering degree in 1957.
He married Rayola B. Crouch on June 16, 1956.
They had four children: Thomas of Peoria, IL; Theresa Jones of Yuba City, CA; Timothy of Coatesville, PA; and Traci Lefever of Mountain Home, ID.
They have four grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
They lived in Fort Wayne, IN; Easton, PA; Glens Falls, NY; Rock Island, IL.
They moved to Lancaster, CA in 1985.
He retired from Monolith Cement Co. located in Tehachapi in 1992.

Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, attending the Sunday 6:45AM Mass regularly.
He was an avid golfer, even recording a hole-in-one in 1990s; he enjoyed walking the course.
In his middle years, he enjoyed bowling.
Tom also drove cars for a Honda dealership.
In his retirement, he and Raye enjoyed driving to visit their children around the United States.
He passed into the next life on February 18, 2019.
