In our most loving memory of Ubaldo Sierra who went home to be with our Lord on April 14, 2023. He was born on June 2nd 1946 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to parents; Ubaldo and Margarita Sierra. He grew up with eleven siblings and at the young age of 18 years old he decided to move to the United States to give himself a better life in America. Ubaldo always said when he moved to the United States he immediately had to learn English and learn the American culture, which he sure did. Ubaldo enjoyed the American culture of shiny cars, fashion and music. Soon after in 1967, Ubaldo met the love of his life Bernadette. They dated for a year when Ubaldo was drafted to the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky in 1968. During his service, he kept in contact with Bernadette and spent many hours writing love letters to each other until he returned from service. Ubaldo and Bernadette married on July 11th 1971 leading to 51 years of rich friendship, affirming love and three beautiful children; Margarita, Aurora and Martin.
Ubaldo went on to earn his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Trade Tech College in Los Angeles, CA. Ubaldo worked in Upholstery for 39 years before retiring. Ubaldo loved photography and would take any opportunity to take a picture of you. He participated in Knights of Columbus were he created many close friendships as well as becoming a lector at his local church every Sunday. Ubaldo was always striving to better himself which reflected on his personality of enrolling in many classes, watching educational videos and participating in Toast Masters where he would practice perfecting his speech abilities in public. Ubaldo loved to sing in English and Spanish whether it be a celebration or simply sitting with his brothers and singing together. His wisdom will live on through his legacy, which was to love faithfully, work hard and trust in those you love.
Ubaldo was survived by his loving wife, Bernadette their three children Margarita, Aurora and Martin. Two supportive son in-laws Louis and David, three granddaughters; Alexandria, Alexis and Sunday and two great grandsons Ethan and soon to be Abel.
