Virginia Petty

Virginia Rabut Petty, age 85, of Lancaster, CA went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 2023. She is survived by husband Sam, sister Trinidad, twin daughters Monique Malamma (Eric) and Jessica Holbrook (Brock), son David (Jennifer), grandchildren Rachael, Rebecca, and Autumn, and great grandchildren Carly, Cassy, Avery, Ellie, and Remi, and a host of family who all loved her very much.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 27th at 11:00AM, at City Church, 44514 20th Street West (north of Ave. J), Lancaster, CA, with Reception/Lunch immediately following in the Church’s Champion Center. Anyone who wishes to come to the brief graveside interment is welcome to come. It will begin an hour before the church service at 10:00AM at the Lancaster District Cemetery, 111 E. Lancaster Blvd (entrance is on Lancaster Blvd 500’ east of Division St.). We encourage everyone to dress in colorful Hawaiian if possible, but more formal is OK too.

Virginia was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Kindergarten and Elementary teacher, Sunday School teacher, Nurse, and Soprano singer. She enjoyed beach camping, mission trips to Mexico and South America, ministering to couples at AV Marriage Encounter Weekends, but perhaps most of all raising her own children and teaching her kindergarten children. She demonstrated the love of God to whomever she met, and we will all miss you, Mom, until we meet again in heaven!
