Watson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Watson & Eleanor Lee (Hee). He passed away after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. 

He graduated from high school at Iolani High School in Honolulu. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cal State LA. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Son Everett Lee, granddaughter Cristina Dewgaw and Stepdaughter Becky Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Harriet Lee, his sister Carolyn Morse (Blake) San Jose, CA, and children Illona Anderson (Chris) Palm Desert, CA, Claudia Dewgaw (Tom) Durango, CO, Brian Brooks (Joy) Claremont, CA Brenda Fieri (Matt) Crowly, TX, Celeste Mott, Oregon, Andrew Blacker (Lisa) Oregon, His Niece Elena Seto & Nephew Gary Seto, San Jose and Foster son Frank Walder (Lori) Virginia. 

 He was the proud Papa to 11 Grandchildren, Twins Danielle & Amanda Anderson, Twins Andrew & Alexander Brooks, Alyssa Brooks, Audrey Drake (Will), Natasha Griffin (Justin), Katrina Brooks, Kelly Barr (CJ), Tyler Brink, Emily Blacker and 5 Great Grandchildren, Sarah Dewgaw-White, Liam Drake, Amelia Barr, Asher Barr & Conor Griffin. 

He served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam war. After serving in the military for 4 years, He became a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy. He graduated from the academy April 1, 1971, and served for 32 years. He was a traffic deputy for half of his career and the remainder as a Crime Scene Investigator. 

After his retirement in 2002, Watson started teaching Introduction to Forensics at Antelope Valley College. He taught at the college for 16 years before his second and final retirement. 

Watson volunteered at Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) for 11 years, volunteering more than 3,000 hours, most of his time was spent volunteering at the AVMC Auxiliary’s New to You Thrift Store. 

Watson loved working with stained glass, wood working and cruising with his wife. They cruised the Panama Canal, Australia & New Zealand, Hawaii and several trips to Alaska. 

The family is grateful to Jenet Langjahr RN FNP & her staff at AV Pediatrics and Family Medicine for coordinating his care. Dr Merla, Dr. Lim and their staff at City of Hope Antelope Valley and Dr. Raz, City of Hope Duarte for their care & support. They would also like to thank Dr. Coda and his staff at Antelope Valley Supportive Care & Hospice for making his final days peaceful. 

Services will be at Haley-Olsen-Murphy, 44831 North Cedar Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534, 

December 20, 2024, 1:00-5:00PM. Hawaiian Attire preferred. In lieu of Flowers, please make donations in his name to City of Hope Antelope Valley or City of Hope Duarte. Interment will be private.
